Era One

I've come to realize that, in all honesty, simply being with people can be all the entertainment you need. Granted, there are activities that increase the fun and enjoyment that you experience, but the real essence of having fun simply is being with people you enjoy.
I think its why I've come to love being with my family so much, or with Bird. I think its a little unfortunate that I didn't catch onto things earlier. Though I will say that the rest of my social group is quite the experience as well. Hooray for the gaming world.
On a completely separate note, I've begun to notice that a great deal of what I do is based around food. Well, more based around eating. Ok, to be ridiculously specific, it's built around tasting things. Flavor, really. Bird and I spent 30 minutes this afternoon trying to pick out what restaurants we wanted to go to today.
Honestly, I think I could travel the world just to eat. Granted, sightseeing if fun, and a great draw, but nothing really completes a trip like the food. It just makes exploring better. My best memories of many vacations and such are restaurants. Red Hot and Blue and the McDonald's on the Mississippi River, the Spanish Restaurant in D.C. that my aunt worked at, The Pastry Pub, everything in New York. That doesn't even begin to cover the Texas experience... In fact, I'm really missing Pho Saigon, the Vietnamese Noodle House in Katy, at the moment. We'll have to try to find something like that in Denver...

The Beginning of an Era

And so it begins. Now, we're off to the Alpine Slide!
